FusionWhere for Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief (HADR)
FusionWhere provides tools that can be used before, during and after HADR response operations by action teams, logisticians and response managers. Critical planning and coordination information can be stored in SharePoint or other web-accessible databases and be opened directly from ArcGIS Explorer base maps. The latest available satellite and aerial imagery can be easily imported and overlaid on the base maps to aid in the response. Real time collaboration is the key with personnel at headquarters and field sites, and FusionWhere works with the most popular conference services. FusionWhere’s geo-collaboration and online database capabilities are invaluable for managing long term relief and rebuilding activities as well
HADR Capabilities Include:
- Automated geo-tagging for photos: Inspect damaged areas by following GPS routes and take photos. Place photos and the GPS file in the same SharePoint Picture Library folder and FusionWhere will automatically assign locations to the photos, update properties in SharePoint and display icons and photos on the map or imagery in ArcGIS Explorer.
- Create inspection areas, keep out zones, etc. with simple drawing tools and export them in .shp and .kml formats to other environments such as Google Earth
- Maps and features are automatically stored in SharePoint for easy sharing and integration
- Tools to easily view and markup satellite and aerial imagery taken at different times in support of the outreach operations.
